Welcome to 2025, where New Year’s resolutions are made, gym memberships are reactivated, and at least one avocado gets sacrificed to your toast game!
In our first story of the year, we thought we’d share the origins of eeva—how our founder & CEO, Adrienne Jung, took a personal frustration and turned it into a mission to change homelife management forever. Spoiler alert: it started with a home, a pandemic, and a whole lot of receipts.
The Dream Home, with a Side of Chaos
Buying your first home is one of those “big life moments.” For Adrienne, it happened during the pandemic (remember the frenzy of the housing market back then? Think Taylor Swift concert tickets but with mortgages.). The excitement was real—but so was the overwhelm.
Once the keys were in hand, a mountain of to-dos loomed near. Warranties, receipts, contractor info, appointment reminders, and schedules were scattered across sticky notes, drawers, and, somehow, the kitchen counter. And that didn’t even include the surprise tasks, like figuring out what a sump pump actually does. Adrienne very quickly realized that being an adult is REALLY hard!
“Don’t get me wrong, I love the freedom that comes with being an adult. But it’s just a lot. There’s a lot going on, constantly, everywhere,” she says.
From Operational Genius to “Where Did I Put That?”
Adrienne spent many years fine-tuning operations for organizations across various industries, building tools that streamlined processes, tracked projects, and improved collaboration. At work, she could manage a team, balance budgets, and track time to the minute. But at home? The advice was… less sophisticated. Print your calendar and stick it on the fridge? Really?!
Frustrated, she started digging. She wasn’t alone—countless homeowners faced the same challenge. But there was a pattern: men often didn’t see the problem. Why? Because, as many admitted, “My wife takes care of that.” Cue the collective eye-roll from women everywhere (and hats off to the men who get it).
“I don’t want to make it a gendered argument. But the research and numbers don’t lie. Women understand this problem immediately, without fail. We have traditionally owned managing the household, and that expectation is still engrained today.” — Adrienne Jung, Co-Founder & CEO
A Mission Is Born
That insight lit a fire. Adrienne realized this wasn’t just about convenience—it was about fairness, quality of life, and rethinking the way we manage our homes and busy adult lives. If we have apps to track every task, every dollar, and every minute of our workday, why not one to lighten the mental load at home?
“That was the aha moment: comparing how many tools were available to me at work versus what I was conditioned to using in my personal life. Truthfully, I care way more about managing my life than I do my work – but I didn’t feel set up for success to do that.” — Adrienne Jung, Co-Founder & CEO
And just like that, eeva was born. Adrienne’s goal was clear: create a platform that does for homelife management what her best tools did for workplaces—streamline processes, reduce stress, and foster collaboration. Except this time, the workplace was your home, and the reward was your peace of mind.
Built to Solve Real Problems
Adrienne didn’t just want to build a tool; she wanted to build the tool. So she talked to people—homeowners, renters, parents, and partners. She asked about their frustrations and dreams, their adulting wins and pitfalls. And she listened closely.
The result? eeva is now your centralized home life management system that’s making adulting a little easier. Designed to handle everything from finances to health, and maintenance to memories, we’re not just helping you run your home; we’re helping you reclaim your time, your energy, and maybe even your sanity.
Why our Founders are the Ones to Do This
With over 15 years of leadership experience and a talent for solving complex problems, Adrienne knows how to design systems that actually work. She’s transformed operations across industries, but her real magic is in understanding people—what stresses them out, what they value, and how to make their lives better. This also led her to craft a killer team to help her do it all, if we do say so ourselves. That mix of strategy and empathy is what makes eeva more than an app; it’s a lifeline.
With the support of Jarrod as her partner in crime, they’re revolutionizing adulting together.
“Adrienne has been a friend for years and having worked with her previously, I jumped at the chance to work with her again. It’s not every day someone tells you an idea where you sit back and say wow, this has the potential to change the way people live their life. eeva has that potential and I had to be part of this journey. Being able to create a company, and a revolutionary tech product has been a dream of mine for years and being able to do this with someone as brilliant as Adrienne is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity.” — Jarrod Nichol, Co-Founder & CGO
