Adrienne and Jarrod pose with Valerie D. and others at the startup case competition.
On November 22nd, eeva’s own Adrienne Jung and Jarrod Nichol had the honour of stepping into McGill’s buzzing entrepreneurial student ecosystem. They joined forces with the McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship in Montreal to judge the first-ever Startup Case Competition, a dynamic event organized by Consulting Academy McGill, the McGill Entrepreneurship Society, and the National Organisation for Business & Engineering – McGill Chapter.
The competition brought together 10 student teams, split between two inspiring Dobson-incubated ventures: VLVT and yours truly, eeva! Over the course of the event, the students showcased innovative solutions and a fearless approach to problem-solving. The experience? Nothing short of inspiring.
Young Talent, Big Ideas
Adrienne and Jarrod weren’t the only ones blown away by the sheer talent in the room. Connie Perl, M.A., M.A., founder of VLVT, joined as a co-judge, bringing her expertise and infectious energy to the table. Together, they witnessed the raw brilliance of future industry leaders who are already making waves in the startup world.
Valerie D. presenting her insights for eeva, which would end up landing her the win!
The standout of the day? Valerie D.! Tackling the competition solo, Valerie not only captured the Judges’ Award but also won the People’s Award, a feat that left the entire room in awe. Her pitch was packed with actionable insights, many of which have already sparked ideas for eeva’s ever-evolving strategy.
A Heartfelt Thanks
A huge shoutout to Simon Painchaud for organizing this incredible event and inviting eeva to be part of it. We’re grateful for the opportunity to engage with such bright, driven minds. To Connie Perl and the VLVT team, your passion for innovation is truly inspiring—thank you for being fantastic collaborators.
Looking Ahead
The future is undeniably bright for all the participants, and we’re thrilled to have had a front-row seat to witness their journey. As we continue to shape eeva into the ultimate home and life management platform, events like these remind us why we do what we do: to empower people to tackle life’s chaos with creativity, confidence, and community.
Here’s to more competitions, more collaboration, and a future driven by the bold ideas of today’s brightest minds.🌟
